Terms of Service
Effective June 27, 2026
The short version
- You keep ownership of your resume and everything you upload.
- CareerPilot does not submit applications. You send them yourself.
- If it ever does, it sends only the application you authorize, one at a time.
- Paid plans are billed weekly or monthly through Stripe, and you can cancel at any time.
- Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Match scores are information, not a promise about hiring outcomes.
This summary is here to help you read the rest. It is not the document itself. Only the full text below applies.
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using CareerPilot (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. These Terms form an agreement between you and Tolo Goods LLC, operating under the Tolopilot brand. Tolo Goods LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
CareerPilot is a job search management platform that helps users track job applications, manage recruiter relationships, and receive automated match scores and career insights. The Service is available at https://career.tolopilot.com.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use CareerPilot. During the controlled beta, participation is open only to people aged 18 and over. By using the Service, you represent that you meet the requirement that applies to you and that the information you provide is accurate. These two figures do not agree, we know it, and we are reconciling them rather than leaving you to discover the difference.
4. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@tolopilot.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the Service
- Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data
- Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the Service
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service without permission
- Upload content that violates third-party intellectual property rights
6. Match scoring and accuracy
CareerPilot uses automated analysis to generate match scores, career insights, and profile summaries. These outputs are provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of this content for any particular purpose. Match scores are not a guarantee of hiring outcomes.
7. Subscription and billing
CareerPilot offers a free plan and a paid Pro plan. Paid subscriptions are billed weekly or monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.
8. Your content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to CareerPilot, including resumes and job search data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content for the purpose of providing the Service, including passing resume content to our analysis providers. That license does not extend to sending your content to an employer, which is governed by section 9.
9. Applications and employers
CareerPilot prepares application material for roles you choose to pursue. It does not currently submit applications. You send the application yourself, using the employer’s own form.
If direct submission is made available in future, we will only transmit an application you have authorized, for that role, at that time. Authorizing one application is not authorization for any other, and there is no setting that grants it in advance.
An employer that receives an application is not acting for us and is not one of our service providers. It handles your application under its own privacy policy, its own retention schedule, and the law that applies to it. We cannot retrieve, correct, or delete an application after an employer has received it, and we make no commitment on an employer’s behalf. What we hold about you remains yours to export or delete. Our Privacy Policy sets this out in full.
10. Service availability
We aim to keep CareerPilot available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We will not be liable for any interruption or loss of data resulting from downtime.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tolo Goods LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of employment opportunities, or loss of revenue arising from your use of the Service.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings, or by writing to support@tolopilot.com. Deletion takes effect immediately. Backups and legally required payment records may persist for a period afterwards, and an application an employer has already received is not ours to delete.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
